In the garden

A beautiful garden for the summer:

Summer is the season where it benefits most from his garden. The garden and orchard are in full production, the flowers spread their most beautiful colors.

Land preparation:

To have a beautiful flower garden in summer, we had to prepare the land and enrich it. Annual plants have a lifetime short enough (June to October in general) and therefore need to find quickly and in quantity of food necessary for their development. Stir ground granulated cow manure, compost, fertilizer horticultural bedding plant or a slow release fertilizer. Once the plants growing, there will be watering added liquid fertilizer.

Buy plants:
Focus on good quality purchase: Plant robust, a good appearance and little or no flowers as they are in buckets. A well-flowered plant stall on the horticulturist is attractive but has already begun to suffer! It will require more energy and time to adjust to his new environment, the risk is not strong enough to suffer its first shock.

Parterres and garden:
Weeding thoroughly flat strips and plates of vegetables, to avoid invasion by weeds, from the first storm (heat + water = grows fast). Then mulch the soil with wood chips, straw to reduce evaporation and the direct action of sunlight at the feet of plants.

Pelouse Lawn:
Prefer more frequent mowing clippings short not to weaken the lawn by removing much of its foliage. The effect of the burning rays of the sun could burn the grass.

Watering:
Who said the sun, said water for plants. Watering is a passage.Plants have different water needs. Flowers and vegetables require regular supply of water but short supply, while fruit trees prefer an abundant watering in dry weather.

Drizzle as much as possible at the base of plants to avoid thermal shock and evaporation. Preferably in the evening as the water evaporates much less than full day under the sun.
Prioritize  watering which facilitates accurate and without much loss. A sprinkler disperse about 25% of the water in the atmosphere, this water does not, therefore, to plants. Once this advice into practice and respected, the gardener can take quiet vacation.
